The Wilderness Downtown

Just to cool to keep quite.

So I stumbled upon the Arcade Fire HTML5 interactive music video and have to say that it is pretty impressive what they have done with the interface and how it works with the user to give it a personalized feel.

The site allows you to pick a street address and it then partners with google maps and street view to show the neighborhood you grew up on in the video. In one part of the section you get to draw and type in the neat tree like format created like the font on the main page. After you can post your image and it could be used as a message to other people who have submitted “postcards” or even used in their live shows.

This hands down is one of the most impressive things I have seen in a while. So go visit www.thewildernessdowntown.com and check it out. I would like to see what other people following me have created so download your postcard and reply to this entry.
